Help needed. I need to rename 1,446 files

I have 1,446 files that I need to rename.
The files are currently named in this general form: Windsor_Beacon_Thu_Feb_6__1926_.jpg
They are all single page newspaper images from Newspapers.com
Note that the day of the month does not have a leading zero. There are two underscores before the year.

I would like to rename them to look like this: 1926-02-06 Windsor_Beacon.jpg

Tragically, I am 75 and only know BASIC, FORTRAN, DEC PDP-8 assembler, and enough Arduino-style C++ to look like I know what I'm doing but not much more than that.

I do not know anything about Java Regular Expressions.

Is this renaming with FAR possible, or even partially possible?
It will take me eight hours+ to rename them all by hand.
I may not live that long.
Can anyone get me started?
