Until 2007 FFEP was actively developed using C. 
From 2007-2015 just some some bugs where patched.
In 2015 a switch to GNU Octave with some Mexx-Functions was performed. 
The Goal is a GNU Octave Lib that works on MATLAB as well.  
Since 2016 the new version is now online.
