After installation, when opening DWSIM for its 1st run, I get a screen telling me than a number of file copying tasks need to be performed. I accept it but get an error and ultimately DWSIM mentions an exception. See the screenshots in the attachment. I am running DWSIM in a win 7 Pro machine, as admin.

Next I would like to point out that the first use of DWSIM may well not be through launching DWSIM but rather using DWSIM Property Package Manager within another process simulation tool. Then I don't see the required file copying tasks being done. Why aren't these performed at installation time?

This is probably related to issue #113. Your Windows installation requires elevated access all times. You could install DWSIM on a personal folder to avoid these permission issues.

You're right about the issue regarding initialization through another tool.

Indeed I uinstalled DWSIM and then install it in a folder under My Documents and I got no error message. Still strange to get that kind of error in a Machine run as admin.

Regarding the file copying issue, it cannot be done during installation because DWSIM can be run from an USB stick on Windows directly or on Linux. The files needed to be copied are only known at runtime. This is already fixed in current internal DWSIM 4.0 builds where the files are copied and removed dynamically either in GUI or CAPE-OPEN mode.
