In Bray++ terminal on Windows I can read output from my
device in ASCII. Here it seems like only hexadecimal is
supported.

    Hmm ?
    Cutecom prints it as text if it is printable, otherwise it prints the hex codes (since the ASCII text wouldn't be readable really good anyway).
