I could not find how to see the version of COCO. It would be nice if there was a function similar to matlab ver.

At the moment this is not possible. In previous versions, there existed files with version information, which were created by scripts for release creation. In a recent change of layout of COCO, we moved to manual release creation, whereby these files disappeared.

It is worth thinking about re-establishing some form of version query. I will try to find out a way to achieve this in a fail-safe way.
