We are pleased to announce the release of CoMo v1.0 that brings several new features, performance enhancement and bug fixes. CoMo is a network monitoring platform that allows users to define arbitrary real-time or retrospective queries to run on the traffic streams. The traffic streams may come from packet sniffers, trace files, netflow-enabled routers or wireless sniffers.
Changes in this release include a major rewrite of several core functions (e.g., IPC, on-demand queries, memory management, packet template descriptions), a sniffer to support sFlow, a more simple inline mode of operation and a large number of bug fixes and performance improvements. Changes in this release include a port to Microsoft Windows (under Cygwin), a more flexible filter syntax, a number of new applications modules, the ability to run inline from command line, full IEEE 802.11 support, port to ARM-based architectures and the ability to load new modules on the fly.
