BUTT randomly drops connection and wont reconnect until fully restarting the app. The screen just says "connecting..." and will stay like that until restarting. This happens on Debian 12 and versions 1.37 and up. The consoles don't show any error.

Hello Michael,

I will have a look into this. But first I would like to ask you a few questions:
1. Can you confirm that this does NOT happen with 0.1.36? (https://sourceforge.net/projects/butt/files/butt/butt-0.1.36/butt-0.1.36.tar.gz/download)
2. Do you use the secondary audio device?
3. Do you also use the recording feature?
4. Do you use Icecast (with TLS?) or Shoutcast?
5. Please share screenshots of the settings tabs

This does not happen on 0.1.36. I have tried it before 0.1.37, but it has a different problem of crashing every few days.

I do not have a secondary audio device selected.

I do not use the recording feature.

I stream to Icecast with the SSL/TLS option deselected.

I will attach screenshots below.

In the meantime, to prevent 0.1.36 from crashing after running for a couple of days it might help to disable "Show listeners" in the GUI tab.

Hello Micheal (sorry for misspelling your name in my first reply),

this was a tough one to find, but I think I fixed the issue. As a side effect few other issues were also fixed.

Please let me know if this version solves the issue for you.

  Thanks Daniel! I've just arrived home, so I apologize for the delay.
  
  I have installed it onto the streaming computer and started streaming to the Icecast server with the same settings as last time.

How do you install this files? It gives me a .tar.gz file and the files inside cant be run.

After a few days of streaming, it disconnected again. I am still using the hot fix version you sent earlier in the thread by the way.

Never mind, my main Windows PC did its dumb automatic restart to install updates again. I'm sorry to disturb y'all.
