Hi how I have to manage the shipping costs in Adempiere ERP documents ?
I have to create a new line in the documents whith a product "shipment costs" that have a particolar category ?
I see that there is a field called freightamt in c_order table and also in the c_orderline table but it seems not to be used (i.e. to calculate the total amount of the document)...
I have to create a new line for costs or to use the existing fields ?

You cold use a non stock product but I think the more usual approach is to create a Charge.

Right of the field where you enter the product code on an order line is the drop down called Charge .. the user would select from the list here.
It might be useful to use the Record Access security rules to remove any unnecessary Charges from the Roles that will enter sales orders to make it quicker to select the Charge. http://www.adempiere.com/ManPageW_RoleDataAccess#Tab:_Record_Access
