I am using Xournal for presenting in class and I would like to rely on some prepared
material, that is, part of the slides are already done, other parts are being filled
in during class. Xournal's layers makes this possible: the prewritten material is
put in different layers and uncovered at different stages of the lecture. There
is one catch: whenever I switch to the next page, Xournal already displays the top
layer and I have to spend a few clicks on hiding them. Even worse, the flow of the
lecture is disrupted this way.
Ideally Xournal would offer a configuration option that lets a user tell it, which
layer, top or bottom, to display when advancing to the next page.
For fast use of layers it would also be desirable to have a `show layer' and 'hide
layer' button in the toolbar.
