* Merge back to trunk from NETWM branch. This includes a "getting there"
degree of support for the NETWM extended window manager hints, for use
with compliant desktop frills like those in GNOME and KDE. Thanks to
Jamie Montgomery for providing much of the initial work on this way back
in 2000!

* This merge also provides a fix to UTF8 support in title bars
* and session manager support.
