First of all, thank you for considering a contribution to the C++-version of WavePacket.
If you are interested, please drop me a mail at ulflor@users.sourceforge.net.
To help with the continued development, you do not need to be an expert C++
developer. There are several other avenues available as well. You could...
1. ...report bugs ,usability issues or feature requests.
It is surprisingly hard to get user feedback. So do not hold back, but tell
your opinion. If it is a bug, this guarantees a quick fix. If it is a
usability issue or a lacking feature that holds you back, this is also a
flaw in the software. Your contribution here counts, usually the issues with
one requesting user are top priority.
2. ...write or assist with demos or tutorials.
If you want to contribute more, a good way is to write some demo or assist
in writing it. Other people can use such a demo as template for their own work
or to understand how they can solve certain problems. Demos are generally
rather straightforward (what you would do as a WavePacket user anyway), but
they may involve e.g., an article search to find out which system to
demonstrate. Even doing just the preparatory work, such as finding a useful
article with a real system, can be a really useful contribution.
3. ...contribute with coding
There is always enough work on different skill levels. Just drop me a mail,
and we can sort out what and how to do it. Especially for the plotting and
such, there is now also some Python codebase to work on.
Now enjoy the program.
