I would like to simulate/support a three-row diatonic accordion with this excellent piece of software. There are just enough keys on a computer keyboard to almost fully cover a three-row accordion (the home row on an ISO keyboards has 12 keys rather than 13 as a typical accordion we use, but that's ok, I never use all keys anyway). But I can only key in a single playing direction (either only push or only pull direction) by manually editing the XML (and afterwards rebooting the app according to https://sourceforge.net/p/vmpk/discussion/854991/thread/04950eef/#4841/3cf2, otherwise only a single button would work).

It would be super useful if I could either:
- have a shortcut to quickly change the playing direction in a similar way as VMPK supports the left and right key to change the octave; this means changing the keyboard map completely
- use some modifier key (Shift or Esc or an arrow key or whatever) and generate a different note when the modifier key is used; that would probably be similar to https://sourceforge.net/p/vmpk/feature-requests/24/ (support for modifier keys) or https://sourceforge.net/p/vmpk/feature-requests/48/ (case sensitivity).

Since the full instrument can be covered on a regular keyboard, I don't need the feature of changing the octave while playing.
