I don't believe we ever created a version for VRML1.0 output. At least, the earliest version of the code I could find in our CVS repository used the "#VRML 2.0" header in the file. (I didn't look close enough to determine if it was VRML2.0 or VRML97.) The VRML97 standard was standardized in December of 97, and VRML2.0 was in use for a year or more before that. So, are you really using that old of a VRML reader? What are you using that needs VRML1.0? (The VRML output from vis5d+ conforms to the VRML97 standard.) I don't believe you will have much luck editing things out to make it conform to VRML1.0 - if I remember correctly 1.0 was pretty limited, and you would probably end up commenting out most of the VRML file.
