[Vis5d-users] floating exception problem

After installing Vis5D on my Linux-Alpha machine, I tried to test out the program using one of the sample v5d data files. No matter which one I try, the window briefly opens, then closes and I get the following error:
	floating exception

Has anyone experienced this?? Several particulars:

* Running Red Hat 7.0 for alpha
* Vis5D 5.1
* I have tried the pre-built executable for DEC alpha - same error
* I built Vis5D from the source code - experienced NO errors - still get same error
* I can start up the GUI by typing "vis5d -nofile" and it starts up fine
* I have tried multiple data files:
	src/vis5d hole.v5d -path src  (before installing)
	vis5d LAMPS.v5d  (after installing)

Any help would be appreciated.
