Neil,

I don't have any vis5d specific info but check out these sight's  for
general comments about nvidia cards and linux.

It pays to be very cautious when making your hardware purchase, you need
to make sure that each component of the hardware is linux compatible,
and in the case of graphics drivers there are several levels of
compatibility.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think vis5d takes
any advantage of graphics hardware directly.  Only the underlying OpenGL
layer does.
