Hi, I am a researcher at Illinois State Water Survey. I used VIS5D to view a dataset of 2D gridded model output of the concentration of chemical species. When in VIS5D, first, I chose 'map' to be appeared. When I selected the horizontal color contour for a chemical species, the map sometime disappeared depend on the domain selected. How can I make MAP always on top of other displays (in 2D)? I have an overall dataset of 79x51 grids for 48 variables. When I select all data points the map would disappear when the color contour is selected. So I experimented different size of domain area and found test 1: domain size from 79x51 to 40x51 --> color contour is 'on' without map domain size at 39x51 --> color contour is 'on' with map test 2: domain size > 29x26 --> color contour is 'on' with map domain size at 28x26 --> color contour is 'on' without map It seems like only within a range of number will the map stay appeared. It will disappear when the total number of data points is either too large or too small. I have try to increase the memory size using -mbs 500, but it still not working. We a have 1GB RAM in our SUN workstation so I believe plenty of RAM is available (at least >128MB). If you have solution on this, please let me know. Thank you for your help.
