If you get the following or similar error message from sendmail:

sh: vacation not available for sendmail programs
554 "|vacation joe"... Service unavailable

then you (or your sysadm) have to make a link from vacation to the
directory of smrsh (sendmail restricted shell) to enable vacation a
a mail processing utility.

distribution.
