I'm trying to use TORCS for a research project and would like to learn how
best to play a stimulus sound (customised .wav file; maybe 1 second, maybe 1
minute ) at predetermined points along a track (e.g. 1 km from start, 2 km
from start etc.)
I already have telemetry and collisions with obstacles (e.g. haybales)
working OK and I figure there may be a fairly simple way to trigger sounds
based on something like HCtx[idx]->distToStart within human.cpp. The file
grsound.cpp looks promising [e.g.
sound_interface->setSkidSound("data/sound/skid_tyres.wav"); ], although it
seems like a quite sophisticated audio system. I will be happy with a quick
and simple way of playing short audio files, without having to chage class
definitions etc. I would even settle for a simple BELL: printf(" \a"); but I
could not get it to actually sound from within human.cpp. I'm not a C/C++
expert but am willing to quiclky learn to get this done.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Fabio, I recommend that you check GLFont at http://students.cs.byu.edu/~bfish/glfont.php there should be all the info you need. Regards, Eric. hello, I work to make a translation but I have a problem: the font. I can't find good information about glf file. I don't understand how make file glf and how to open this file. Is there somebody which tell me good information about this file? thanks _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Spaces: Crea il tuo blog e condividi le tue esperienze col mondo! http://spaces.live.com/ |
