The hydrological model HYPE is developed at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). The model simulates water, nutrients and other substances in small and large river catchments. Included in the project is HYSS, which is needed to run the model.

    This is a short VR and Desktop experience where a user can explore a virtual river valley. It is built using real research data, collected by scientists. An animation shows a flash flood, and the dramatic wall of water, before the user can then witness the devastation left behind after the flood. Flash Flood! is best experienced using the latest Oculus Rift and an XBox 360 controller. The Oculus download file has yet to be tested.
