...Chimeric DNA sequences often form during polymerase chain reaction amplification, especially when sequencing single regions to assess diversity or compare populations. Some randomly formed chimeras cause destruction. In plants, Untransformed cells should be easy to detect and remove to avoid chimeras. Because it’s extremely important to maintain the stable ability of the transgenic plants across different generations. Detection and removal of chimeras is therefore of critical importance in such experiments. ChimeraDetector is, therefore, an essential tool in detection of chimeras from genome sequences. -

...Therefore objective valuation of plant senescence by color image analysis is desirable for high throughput plant phenotyping. The plant colors in images may not represent the original colors of plants due to imperfect camera lenses and camera settings.
