Eclipse OpenJ9 is an independent implementation of a Java Virtual Machine. The OpenJ9 JVM combines with the Java Class libraries from OpenJDK to create a complete JDK tuned for footprint, performance, and reliability that is well suited for cloud deployments. The original source contribution to OpenJ9 came from the IBM "J9" JVM which has been used in production by thousands of Java applications.

Jasmin is a Java Assembler. It takes ASCII descriptions for Java classes, written in a simple assembler-like syntax. It converts them into binary Java .class class files suitable for loading into a Java Virtual Machine implementation.

Byte Buddy is a code generation and manipulation library for creating and modifying Java classes during the runtime of a Java application and without the help of a compiler. Other than the code generation utilities that ship with the Java Class Library, Byte Buddy allows the creation of arbitrary classes and is not limited to implementing interfaces for the creation of runtime proxies. Furthermore, Byte Buddy offers a convenient API for changing classes either manually, using a Java agent or during a build. In order to use Byte Buddy, one does not require an understanding of Java byte code or the class file format. In contrast, Byte Buddy's API aims for code that is concise and easy to understand for everybody. Nevertheless, Byte Buddy remains fully customizable down to the possibility of defining custom byte code. Furthermore, the API was designed to be as non-intrusive as possible and as a result, Byte Buddy does not leave any trace in the classes that were created by it.

JPPM is a packager manager for JPHP like npm or composer. JPPM will help you to build and run jphp applications or write new packages. JPHP is a new implementation for PHP which uses the Java VM. It supports many features of the PHP language (7.1+). How does it work? JPHP is a compiler like javac, it compiles PHP sources to JVM bytecode and then can execute the result on the Java VM. X10 is a class-based, strongly-typed, garbage-collected, object-oriented language. To support concurrency and distribution, X10 uses the Asynchronous Partitioned Global Address Space programming model (APGAS). This model introduces two key concepts -- places and asynchronous tasks -- and a few mechanisms for coordination. With these, APGAS can express both regular and irregular parallelism, message-passing-style and active-message-style computations, fork-join and bulk-synchronous parallelism. Both its modern, type-safe sequential core and simple programming model for concurrency and distribution contribute to making X10 a high-productivity language in the HPC and Big Data spaces. This way, at DECOM-UFOP, we have a middleware, named JavaCa&La or just JCL, to build portable and scalable solutions over many high performance computer architectures. Our middleware APIs is simple, intuitive and designed for young and senior programmers who don’t have high performance programming skills. Using our middleware, different programmers can develop applications in a collaborative way, i.e., one programmer application can read and write global variables from another application, developed by another programmer, in another machine, without explicit references.
