TAWS is a terminal-based user interface (TUI) tool designed to help developers view and manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources directly from the command line in a curses-style, interactive environment. It provides a unified interface where users can explore their AWS resources such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets, IAM users, and more, all without switching to a web console, which can speed up workflows for frequent cloud administrators and developers alike. Terminal emulator and an interactive shell based on Electron
Upterm (formerly Black Screen) is an IDE in the world of terminals. Strictly speaking, it's both a terminal emulator and an interactive shell based on Electron. Upterm shows the autocompletion box as you type and tries to be smart about what to suggest. Often you can find useful additional information on the right side of the autocompletion, e.g. expanded alias value, command descriptions, value of the previous directory (cd -), etc. All command-line programs (including emacs, ssh and vim) should work as expected. If you experience any glitches, please create an issue. -

Nuke a whole AWS account and delete all its resources
Remove all resources from an AWS account. Be aware that aws-nuke is a very destructive tool, hence you have to be very careful while using it. Otherwise, you might delete production data. We strongly advise you to not run this application on any AWS account, where you cannot afford to lose all resources. We are testing our Terraform code with Jenkins. Sometimes a Terraform run fails during development and messes up the account. With aws-nuke, we can simply clean up the failed account so it can be reused for the next build. Our platform developers have their own AWS accounts where they can create their own Kubernetes clusters for testing purposes. With AWS-nuke it is very easy to clean up these accounts at the end of the day and keep the costs low. There are two ways to authenticate aws-nuke. There are static credentials and profiles. The later one can be configured in the shared credentials file. -

bandwhich
Terminal bandwidth utilization tool
bandwhich sniffs a given network interface and records IP packet size, cross referencing it with the /proc filesystem on linux, lsof on macOS, or using WinApi on windows. It is responsive to the terminal window size, displaying less info if there is no room for it. It will also attempt to resolve ips to their host name in the background using reverse DNS on a best effort basis. bandwhich can be installed using the Rust package manager, cargo. It might be in your distro repositories if you're on linux, or you can install it via rustup. Cargo installs bandwhich to ~/.cargo/bin/bandwhich but you need root priviliges to run bandwhich. To install bandwhich on OpenWRT, you'll need to compile a binary that would fit its processor architecture. This might mean you would have to cross compile if, for example, you're working on an x86_64 and the OpenWRT is installed on an arm7. -

Yet another cross-platform graphical process/system monitor. A customizable cross-platform graphical process/system monitor for the terminal. Supports Linux, macOS, and Windows. Inspired by gtop, gotop, and htop. By default, bottom is somewhat like a dashboard - a bunch of different widgets, all showing different things, and they all cram together to fit into one terminal. If you instead just want to see one widget, maybe you want to look at a graph in more detail, for example, you can "expand" the currently selected widget using the e key, which will hide all other widgets and make that widget take up all available terminal space. To allow for widget-specific keybindings and expansion, there is the idea of widget selection in bottom, where you can focus on a specific widget to work with it. This can be done with the mouse (just click on the widget of interest). -

Prevent Kubernetes misconfigurations from reaching production (again)! The CLI integration provides a policy enforcement solution to run automatic checks for rule violations. Datree is a CLI tool that supports Kubernetes admins in their roles by preventing developers from making errors in Kubernetes configurations that can cause clusters to fail in production. Our CLI tool is open source, enabling it to be supported by the Kubernetes community. It’s far more effective than manual processes, such as sending an email to a slew of developers, begging them to set various limits, which likely falls on deaf ears because developers are already overwhelmed. The CLI integration provides a policy enforcement solution for Kubernetes to run automatic checks on every code change for rule violations and misconfigurations. When rule violations are found, Datree produces an alert that guides the developer to fix the issue inside the CI process. -

letsencrypt/acme client implemented as a shell-script
letsencrypt/acme client implemented as a shell-script, just add water. Dehydrated is a client for signing certificates with an ACME-server (e.g. Let’s Encrypt or ZeroSSL) implemented as a relatively simple bash script. It uses the OpenSSL utility for everything related to actually handling keys and certificates, so you need to have that installed. Other dependencies are cURL, sed, grep, mktemp (all found on almost any system, cURL being the only exception). Please keep in mind that this software and even the acme-protocol are relatively young and may still have some unresolved issues. Feel free to report any issues you find with this script or contribute by submitting a pull request. dehydrated is looking for a config file in a few different places, it will use the first one it can find. -

Easily and securely share files and directories from the command line through a safe, private and encrypted link using a single simple command. Files are shared using the Send service and may be up to 1GB. Others are able to download these files with this tool, or through their web browser. All files are always encrypted on the client, and secrets are never shared with the remote host. An optional password may be specified, and a default file lifetime of 1 (up to 20) download or 24 hours is enforced to ensure your stuff does not remain online forever. This provides a secure platform to share your files. History tracking your files for easy management, ability to use your own Send hosts. Inspect or delete shared files, accurate error reporting. Streaming encryption and uploading/downloading, very low memory footprint. Intended for use in scripts without interaction. -

googler is a power tool to Google (web, news, videos and site search) from the command line. It shows the title, URL and abstract for each result, which can be directly opened in a browser from the terminal. Results are fetched in pages (with page navigation). Supports sequential searches in a single googler instance. googler was initially written to cater to headless servers without X. You can integrate it with a text-based browser. However, it has grown into a very handy and flexible utility that delivers much more. For example, fetch any number of results or start anywhere, limit the search by any duration, define aliases to google search any number of websites, and switch domains easily, all of this in a very clean interface without ads or stray URLs. The shell completion scripts make sure you don't need to remember any options. -
