protoFramework is a Dassault Aviation software based on a Java library and other modules as described below, and on specific software developed and maintained by Dassault Aviation. This protoFramework aims to simplify the development of prototypes of any types in several languages or technologies (such as Java, C++/C, Groovy, Python, etc..). protoFramework is based on a concept of service-oriented architecture design (“SOA”), which permits the interconnexion of application components through services, using an application protocol managed by the protoFramework. -

Parse and decode METAR, TAF, SYNOP, BUOY, AMDAR and write data as XML
metaf2xml can download, parse and decode aviation routine weather reports (METAR, SPECI, SAO), aerodrome forecasts (TAF), synoptic observations (SYNOP), observations from buoys (BUOY) and meteorological reports from aircrafts (AMDAR). Data can also be taken from decoded BUFR messages. The extracted data can be written as XML or passed to a user-defined function (all done in Perl). -

BlueSky is an Open Air Traffic Simulation for research purposes. It includes only open, license free data for navigation and aircraft performance but is also compatible with BADA 3. Can be used for ATC research or any other aviation or air transport related simulation studies. Is also able to visualize ADS-B traffic. BlueSky commands, and thus the scenario files, are compatible with the TMX simulator in use by NLR and NASA. BlueSky is originally developed, and still moderated, by prof. Jacco M. Hoekstra and staff and students of the TU Delft. More documentation can be found at the website and inside the doc folder. -

This project is for an iPhone/iPad viewer that is used to display FAA digital aviation charts. It also includes the support files necessary to prepare digital charts as downloadable tiles and a point of sale web site used by end users to obtain the charts. The viewer's features includes generating track points, which can be saved as GPX. The viewer can also be used to plot flights. The point of sale purchase system is Drupal based with a MySQL database. -
