Pace & Place is an application for managing and visualizing GPS data and sports training data. It empowers the user to track training events and combine them with geographic data. Map, waypoint, track visualizations and geo-referencing of photos.

This project is for an iPhone/iPad viewer that is used to display FAA digital aviation charts. It also includes the support files necessary to prepare digital charts as downloadable tiles and a point of sale web site used by end users to obtain the charts. The viewer's features includes generating track points, which can be saved as GPX. The viewer can also be used to plot flights. The point of sale purchase system is Drupal based with a MySQL database. The remote device connects to the database using a Glassfish server and Jersey. This app has been available on Apple's iTunes App Store for over two years and has a 4+ star ratings. I have moved on to other things and while I've been maintaining it I'd like to see it continue to improve. That's is why I'm releasing it as an open source project.

Richiede java 8 per funzionare. Per installazione completa cliccare su browse all file e scaricare TrasfSianItalia35.zip. Per gli aggiornamenti scaricare solo TrasfSianItalia(ultima versione).jar e sostituirlo nella directory di destinazione.

Recorded tracks can be exported in KML or GPX format. KML file can be viewed in Google Earth application. Mobile Trail Explorer is mainly targeted for recording biking, hiking etc. trails. Software runs on Java platform so it is supported by many mobile phones. It is required that mobile phone supports Bluetooth connections (JSR 82) for GPS and File connection (JSR 75) for exporting trails to kml files. Application can also render maps from Open Street Map. Maps can be downloaded over-the-air or preloaded to memory card. Other map providers can also be implemented easily in code.

The aim of this project is to create a full utility suite for NMEA protocols (best known from GPS devices). First goal is a full implemenation of the NMEA 0183 protocol 3.0 (without proprietary extensions). The library provides parsers for NMEA sentences, gpsd-like network daemons and data generators for simulation and testing. This allows advanced sensor handling from cellphones/tablets/laptops with GPS up to vehicles/ships with NMEA sensors on board.
