Iris
A modern shaders mod for Minecraft compatible with existing OptiFine
Iris was created to fill a void that I saw in the Minecraft customization and graphical enhancement community: the lack of an open-source shaders mod that would let me load my favorite shader packs on modern versions of the game, while retaining performance and compatibility with modpacks. OptiFine, the current dominant mod for loading shader packs, has restrictive licensing that firmly stands in the way of any sort of tinkering, and is fairly notorious for having compatibility issues with the mods that I like. It's also mutually incompatible with Sodium, the best rendering optimization mod in existence by a large margin. ShadersMod was never updated past 1.12, and it lacks support for many of the many modern popular shaderpacks. So I created Iris, to try and solve these issues, and also address many other longstanding issues with shader packs. I first and foremost develop Iris to meet my own needs of a performance-oriented shaders mod with good compatibility. -

Skript
Skript is a Bukkit plugin which allows server admins
Skript is (surprise, surprise) a scripting plugin for the Bukkit platform. It is easy to use for simple tasks, but you can also create really complex things with it. The syntax of Skript is close to English, but it is still not magic. While you might succeed with experimentation for simple tasks, for anything more complex you will need some guidance. You will find all supported features of the plugin here, along with some useful examples. We don't have tutorials yet, but you can find good ones using whatever search engine you prefer. Skript requires Spigot to work. You heard it right, CraftBukkit does not work. Paper, which is a fork of Spigot, is recommended; it is required for some parts of Skript to be available. Skript supports only the latest patch versions of Minecraft 1.9+. For example, this means that 1.16.5 is supported, but 1.16.4 is not. Testing with all old patch versions is not feasible for us. -

Project Malmo sets out to address these core research challenges, addressing them by integrating (deep) reinforcement learning, cognitive science, and many ideas from artificial intelligence. The Malmo platform is a sophisticated AI experimentation platform built on top of Minecraft, and designed to support fundamental research in artificial intelligence. The Project Malmo platform consists of a mod for the Java version, and code that helps artificial intelligence agents sense and act within the Minecraft environment. The two components can run on Windows, Linux, or Mac OS, and researchers can program their agents in any programming language they’re comfortable with. -

Allows the connection of newer clients to older server versions
Allows the connection of higher client versions to lower server versions - it works on any platform you can think of. The base ViaVersion jar runs on Paper and Velocity. We also have projects integrating ViaVersion to run on Fabric, Forge, Bungee, Sponge, or as a standalone proxy to join from basically any client version on any server version from the past decade. Note that ViaVersion will be able to run best on either Paper servers or through ViaFabricPlus due to having direct access to client/server state and more extensive API. -

Phosphor is a free and open-source Minecraft mod (under GNU GPLv3) aiming to save your CPU cycles and improve performance by optimizing one of Minecraft's most inefficient areas-- the lighting engine. It works on both the client and server and can be installed on servers without requiring clients to also have the mod. The mod is designed to be as minimal as possible in the changes it makes, and as such, does not modify the light model or interfaces of vanilla Minecraft. Because of this, Phosphor should be compatible with many Minecraft mods (so long as they do not make drastic changes to how the lighting engine works.) If you've ran into a compatibility problem, please open an issue. -

A mature Minecraft plugin API (not including an implementation), licensed under the MIT License. If you do not have Gradle installed then use ./gradlew for Unix systems or Git Bash and gradlew.bat for Windows systems in place of any 'gradle' command. Sponge will use a javac version of at least 11. If an older JDK is used to launch Gradle, JDK 11 will be downloaded automatically. SpongeAPI is the tool developers use to create plugins for the Sponge platform.
