    Floki

    Floki

Floki is a simple HTML parser that enables search for nodes using CSS

Floki is a simple HTML parser that enables search for nodes using CSS selectors. Floki needs the :leex module in order to compile. Normally this module is installed with Erlang in a complete installation. By default, Floki uses a patched version of mochiweb_html for parsing fragments due to its ease of installation (it's written in Erlang and has no outside dependencies). fast_html is generally faster, according to the benchmarks conducted by its developers.

So I've tried to put together these experiences and came up with FusionCache.

    HCL

    HCL

HCL is the HashiCorp configuration language

HCL is a toolkit for creating structured configuration languages that are both human- and machine-friendly, for use with command-line tools. Although intended to be generally useful, it is primarily targeted toward DevOps tools, servers, etc. HCL has both a native syntax, intended to be pleasant to read and write for humans, and a JSON-based variant that is easier for machines to generate and parse. It includes an expression syntax that allows basic inline computation and, with support from the calling application, the use of variables and functions for more dynamic configuration languages. HCL provides a set of constructs that can be used by a calling application to construct a configuration language. The application defines which attribute names and nested block types are expected, and HCL parses the configuration file, verifies that it conforms to the expected structure, and returns high-level objects that the application can use for further processing.

    JSON Forms

    JSON Forms

Customizable JSON Schema-based forms with React, Angular and Vue

JSON Forms is a declarative framework for efficiently building form-based web UIs. These UIs are targeted at entering, modifying and viewing data and are usually embedded within an application. Writing HTML templates and Javascript for data binding by hand is hard, especially in applications of reasonable size. Furthermore, a form is often more than just a collection of input fields and more advanced functionality is required, e.g. validation or conditional visibility. JSON Forms utilizes the capabilities of JSON and JSON schema and provides a simple and declarative way of describing forms. Forms are then rendered with a UI library or framework, e.g. React or Angular.

    JSON implementation for Ruby

    JSON implementation for Ruby

    JSON implementation for Ruby

This is an implementation of the JSON specification according to RFC 4627. You can think of it as a low-fat alternative to XML if you want to store data on disk or transmit it over a network rather than use a verbose markup language. Both variants of the JSON generator generate UTF-8 character sequences by default. If an:ascii_only option with a true value is given, they escape all non-ASCII and control characters with \uXXXX escape sequences, and support UTF-16 surrogate pairs in order to be able to generate the whole range of Unicode code points. All strings, that are to be encoded as JSON strings, should be UTF-8 byte sequences on the Ruby side. To encode raw binary strings, that aren't UTF-8 encoded, please use the to_json_raw_object method of String (which produces an object, that contains a byte array) and decode the result on the receiving endpoint.

The LaTeX project maintains and develops the LaTeX typesetting system. In a separate article we provide a more detailed description of what we aim to achieve and how you can help us to achieve the project goals. Some older reports from the early days of the project (mainly of historical interest) are available from the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN) as ltx3pub. The repository contains development material for expl3. This includes not only code to be developed into the expl3 kernel, but also a variety of test, documentation and more experimental material. All of this code works on top of LaTeX2e.

    Manfred Awesomic CV

    Manfred Awesomic CV

    Manfred Awesomic CV

The MAC (or Manfred Awesomic CV) is a(nother) naive attempt to create a standard open-source format to define and share CVs. The format is defined as a JSON Schema to validate CVs stored as JSON files. There are A LOT of CV formats, and some of them are a nice try to define a universal CV format, but we think that a CV should include not only what candidates are or know but also what they are interested in and what they want to become. Like most open-source projects, the first use case was found in the company where the first contributors worked. Manfred is committed to the idea that every person should keep control over their personal and professional data. This means that they should be able to export their data from any platform in a machine-readable format with a Model Definition to process that data efficiently. This is how the MAC was born.

    Mavo

    Mavo

Create web applications entirely by writing HTML and CSS

Create complex, reactive, persistent web applications by just writing HTML & CSS, without a single line of JavaScript and no server backend. Developed in the Haystack Group at MIT CSAIL and led by Lea Verou. Mavo extends the syntax of HTML to describe Web applications that manage, store, and transform data. Store data in the cloud, locally, or not at all by just changing an HTML attribute. Edit data right on the website, with an intuitive, auto-generated, customizable interface. No more wrestling with CMSes and servers! Multimedia uploads to your page via drag & drop, pasting, or browsing, without a single line of code. Perform calculations right in the HTML, that update when needed. No need to write JavaScript! Mavo uses familiar HTML-based syntax and can be used even by people with no programming experience. This is not wishful thinking; it’s published, peer-reviewed research.

    Nokogiri

    Nokogiri

Tool to work with XML and HTML from Ruby

Nokogiri (鋸) makes it easy and painless to work with XML and HTML from Ruby. It provides a sensible, easy-to-understand API for reading, writing, modifying, and querying documents. It is fast and standards-compliant by relying on native parsers like libxml2 (C) and xerces (Java). Be secure-by-default by treating all documents as untrusted by default. Be a thin-as-reasonable layer on top of the underlying parsers, and don't attempt to fix behavioral differences between the parsers. "Native gems" contain pre-compiled libraries for a specific machine architecture. On supported platforms, this removes the need for compiling the C extension and the packaged libraries, or for system dependencies to exist. This results in much faster installation and more reliable installation, which as you probably know are the biggest headaches for Nokogiri users.
