OpenChange is a portable Open Source implementation of Microsoft Exchange server and Exchange protocols. It provides a complete solution to interoperate with Microsoft Outlook clients or Microsoft Exchange servers. OpenChange client-side library is used in existing messaging clients and is the solution in new projects to communicate natively with Microsoft Exchange and Exchange-compatible servers. OpenChange server is a transparent Microsoft Exchange server replacement using native Exchange protocols and does not require any plugin installation in Outlook.

Claws Mail is a GTK+ based, lightweight, and fast e-mail client and newsreader. Supports POP3, APOP, IMAP, SMTP, SMTP AUTH, NNTP, LDAP, multiple accounts, spell-checking, addressbook, SSL, GPG, filtering, i18n, & more. It is further extended by plugins.

Heirloom mailx (formerly known as "nail") is intended provide the functionality of the POSIX mailx command with additional support for MIME messages, IMAP (including caching), POP3, SMTP, S/MIME, message threading/sorting, scoring, and filtering.

RFC 2425 defines a MIME Content-Type for Directory Information. This library contains necessary methods to parse information blocks arranged in such a manner.

Geedot aims to be a lightweight, fully (and only) HTML 4.01 and CSS compliant and functional web browser for X. It uses the gdtoolkit widget set which is very fast and lightweight - yet also infinitely and easily expandable.

Pluto is an email and newsgroup reader for the RISC OS operating system (see https://www.riscosopen.org/), developed by Jonathan Duddington from 1997 to 2004. It stores emails and news articles in Boxes, and they can be Listed, Viewed, Written, Spell checked, Replied to, Searched and even Spoken out loud! After Pluto was released under GPLv3 here on SourceForge in 2013, it has had many improvements. Pluto runs on any version of RISC OS later than v3.10, including RISC OS 5 computers such as the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, IGEPv5, Iyonix, PandaBoard, Wandboard, PineA64 and Titanium as well as the older Risc PC and Archimedes series. From v3.16 onwards the RISC OS version of eSpeak is not included in the Pluto download, but separately in the Files espeak directory. After one year without development of the XForms based Unix email client XFMail, the coding has started again. The GTK is supposed to be the toolkit of choice and so we will take XFMail's core, restructure it, and port it to the Gimp ToolKit.
