    ggplot2

    ggplot2

An implementation of the Grammar of Graphics in R

ggplot2 is a system written in R for declaratively creating graphics. It is based on The Grammar of Graphics, which focuses on following a layered approach to describe and construct visualizations or graphics in a structured manner. With ggplot2 you simply provide the data, tell ggplot2 how to map variables to aesthetics, what graphical primitives to use, and it will take care of the rest. ggplot2 is over 10 years old and is used by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world for plotting. In most cases using ggplot2 starts with supplying a dataset and aesthetic mapping (with aes()); adding on layers (like geom_point() or geom_histogram()), scales (like scale_colour_brewer()), and faceting specifications (like facet_wrap()); and finally, coordinating systems. ggplot2 has a rich ecosystem of community-maintained extensions for those looking for more innovation. ggplot2 is a part of the tidyverse, an ecosystem of R packages designed for data science.

    Zenith

    Zenith

Sort of like top or htop but with zoom-able charts, CPU, GPU

In terminal graphical metrics for your *nix system written in Rust. The make file provides for building fully static versions on Linux against the musl C library. It requires musl-gcc to be installed on the system. Install "musl-tools" package on debian/ubuntu derivatives, "musl-gcc" on fedora and equivalent on other distributions from their standard repos. If one needs to build with NVIDIA support in a virtual environment, then it requires some more setup since typically the VM software is unable to directly expose NVIDIA GPU. Unlike the runtime zenith script, the Makefile has been setup to detect only the presence of required NVIDIA libraries, so it is possible to build with NVIDIA support even when without NVIDIA GPU.

    Keycastr

    Keycastr

    KeyCastr, an open-source keystroke visualizer

KeyCastr requires access to the macOS Accessibility API in order to receive your key events and broadcast the keystrokes you are interested in. On newer versions of macOS (10.15+) there is a new Input Monitoring menu under Security & Privacy within the System Preferences app, and KeyCastr will appear there automatically the first time you run it. Simply unlock this menu and check the box next to KeyCastr to enable it. On older versions of macOS, or if for some reason the app doesn't appear under the Input Monitoring menu (or if you want to pre-enable it) then you may manually add it to the list of apps in the Accessibility menu. If KeyCastr is already in the list, then click the, button and add KeyCastr again to be certain that the right application is chosen. Make sure to check the "Display all keystrokes" checkbox if you would like to display more than just the modifier keys.

    InteractiveViz.jl

    InteractiveViz.jl

    Interactive visualization tools for Julia

Julia already has a rich set of plotting tools in the form of the Plots and Makie ecosystems, and various backends for these. So why another plotting package? InteractiveViz is not a replacement for Plots or Makie, but rather a graphics pipeline system developed on top of Makie. It has a few objectives. To provide a simple API to visualize large or possibly infinite datasets (tens of millions of data points) easily. To enable interactivity, and be responsive even with large amounts of data. To render perceptually accurate summaries at large scale, allowing drill down to individual data points. To allow generation of data points on demand through a graphics pipeline, requiring computation only at a level of detail appropriate for display at the viewing resolution. Additional data points can be generated on demand when zooming or panning. This package was partly inspired by the excellent Datashader package available in the Python ecosystem.
