BlockArrays.jl
BlockArrays for Julia
A block array is a partition of an array into blocks or subarrays, see Wikipedia for a more extensive description. This package has two purposes. Firstly, it defines an interface for an AbstractBlockArray block arrays that can be shared among types representing different types of block arrays. The advantage to this is that it provides a consistent API for block arrays. Secondly, it also implements two different types of block arrays that follow the AbstractBlockArray interface. The type BlockArray stores each block contiguously while the type PseudoBlockArray stores the full matrix contiguously. This means that BlockArray supports fast noncopying extraction and insertion of blocks while PseudoBlockArray supports fast access to the full matrix to use in for example a linear solver. -

A viewer for git and diff output
Code evolves, and we all spend time studying diffs. Delta aims to make this both efficient and enjoyable: it allows you to make extensive changes to the layout and styling of diffs, as well as allowing you to stay arbitrarily close to the default git/diff output. Language syntax highlighting with color themes. Within-line highlights based on a Levenshtein edit inference algorithm. Git style strings (foreground color, background color, font attributes) are supported for >20 stylable elements. Delta provides Stylable box/line decorations to draw attention to commit, file and hunk header sections. Support for Git's color-moved feature. Code can be copied directly from the diff. n and N keybindings to move between files in large diffs, and between diffs in log -p views. WebGL-based viewer for volumetric data
Neuroglancer is a WebGL-based visualization tool designed for exploring large-scale volumetric and neuroimaging datasets directly in the browser. It allows users to interactively view arbitrary 2D and 3D cross-sections of volumetric data alongside 3D meshes and skeleton models, enabling precise examination of neural structures and biological imaging results. RuntimeGeneratedFunctions are functions generated at runtime without world-age issues and with the full performance of a standard Julia anonymous function. This builds functions in a way that avoids eval. For technical reasons, RuntimeGeneratedFunctions needs to cache the function expression in a global variable within some module. This is normally transparent to the user, but if the RuntimeGeneratedFunction is evaluated during module precompilation, the cache module must be explicitly set to the module currently being precompiled. This is relevant for helper functions in some modules that construct a RuntimeGeneratedFunction on behalf of the user. -

Vizzu
Library for animated data visualizations and data stories
Vizzu is a free, open-source Javascript/C++ library utilizing a generic dataviz engine that generates many types of charts and seamlessly animates between them. It can be used to create static charts but more importantly, it is designed for building animated data stories and interactive explorers as Vizzu enables showing different perspectives of the data that the viewers can easily follow due to the animation. Create a placeholder element that will contain the rendered chart. The Vizzu constructor has to load Vizzu's WebAssembly module asynchronously to prevent blocking the whole page. Because of this, any method except animate() will throw an exception while the library is not initialized. There is an initializing promise in the Vizzu class, which will resolve when initialization is finished. You can call all methods after this promise is resolved. -

gganimate
A Grammar of Animated Graphics
gganimate extends the grammar of graphics as implemented by ggplot2 to include the description of animation. It does this by providing a range of new grammar classes that can be added to the plot object in order to customize how it should change with time. Here we take a simple boxplot of fuel consumption as a function of cylinders and let it transition between the number of gears available in the cars. As this is a discrete split (gear being best described as an ordered factor) we use transition_states and provide a relative length to use for transition and state view. As not all combinations of data are present there are states missing a box. We define that when a box appears it should fade into view, whereas it should shrink away when it disappears. Lastly, we decide to use a sinusoidal easing for all our aesthetics (here, only y is changing) gganimate is available on CRAN and can be installed with install.packages('gganimate'). -

vue-chartjs
Vue.js wrapper for Chart.js
vue-chartjs is a wrapper for Chart.js in vue. You can easily create reusable chart components. You can use vue-chartjs directly in the browser without any build setup. Like in this codepen. For this case, please use the vue-chartjs.min.js which is the minified version. You also need to add the Chart.js CDN script. Chart.js does not update or re-render the chart if new data is passed. However, you can simply implement this on your own or use one of the two mixins which are included. The mixins automatically create chartData as a prop or data. And add a watcher. If data has changed, the chart will update. However, keep in mind the limitations of vue and javascript for mutations on arrays and objects. It is important that you pass your options in a local variable named options! You can create your components in Vues single file components. -

The TESTIMAGES archive is a huge and free collection of sample images designed for analysis and quality assessment of different kinds of displays and image processing techniques. The archive includes more than 2 million images originally acquired and divided in three different categories: SAMPLING and SAMPLING_PATTERNS (aimed at testing resampling algorithms), COLOR (aimed at testing color rendering on different displays) and PATTERNS (aimed at testing the rendering of standard geometrical patterns).
