fxcron is a simple lightweight cron scheduler for Windows. Usage should be as simple as possible. The tasks are specified in a crontab file. It is able to start scripts or programs in background. i.e. the user is not bothered by suddenly popped-up console windows. It does not need any installation. Just copy the executable to a folder of your choice and start it. All needed configuration can be given by the command line or interactively by a little dialog window. fxcron will not touch the Windows registry unless explicitly requested but is able to store the config data within the registry.

xjobs has a command line interface similar to xargs to start processes, but runs processes in parallel and provides enhanced concepts for I/O redirection.

The Clavis user-level scheduler is designed to implement various scheduling algorithms under Linux Operating System running on multicore and NUMA machines. It is written in C to make the integration with the default OS scheduling facilities seamless.
