Open-source, free, multi-platform BASIC compiler, with syntax similar MS-QuickBASIC (including the GFX statements), that adds new features such as pointers, unsigned data types, inline assembly, a pre-processor and many others.

X11-Basic is a dialect of the BASIC programming language with graphics capability that integrates features like shell scripting, cgi-Programming and full graphical visualisation into the easy to learn basic language on modern computers.

The purpose of this project is to create and update a beginners guide to FreeBASIC. Over the years I have noticed that there was only three real ways to learn FreeBASIC. The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project. QuickerBasic is a QuickBasic 4.5 compatible compiler which attempts to implement as much of the QuickBasic language as possible, as well as extending it.

Amiblitz is the further develop of BlitzBasic 2 from Amiga. Acid Soft was so friendly to release the BB2 source as Opensource. BlitzBasic is port to PC and further develop here too. UltraBasic is a QBasic compatible compiler, written originally by Gabriel Fernandez, and continued until 2004 by Angelo Rosina. It was hosted on Geocities, and has been moved here because of Geocities shutdown. Source code is in QB PDS 7.

Vilegust - named for the codesmells that eventually come of such projects - is a basic-like interpreter/compiler project in vb.net that will eventually be self-compilable.

Elice is a free compiler for programs written in the proprietary language PureBasic. It compiles those programs to C++ and then uses g++ to generate an executable. This is an old version. Development has moved to https://gitorious.org/elice/

Hello Here is a small easy example to write Basic Code in C ++. It helped me to learn c ++. You can easily create a gui. When changing the window sizes, the buttons change propotionally! write Basic directly in the C ++ compiler. Simply create the Gui in Linux have fun ;-)

BCX (Basic to C Translator) BCX is a small command line tool that inputs a BCX BASIC source code file and outputs a C source code file which can be compiled with many C or C++ compilers.
