Simple chess game for people who want to play chess but don't want to take it seriously. Written in C, using SDL 1.2 or SDL 2 for graphics. Interface inspired from old chess game for ZX Spectrum. The computer searches (L+2)/2 moves ahead (assuming that a move means that both sides move a piece), where L is the difficulty level. Positions are evaluated only by adding the values of the pieces left on the board. Any factors related to where the pieces are, such as mobility, doubled pawns, isolated pawns etc. are not considered. To add variety to the game, possible moves are randomly shuffled before every search.

AmiGoGtp is a version of the AmiGo Go program with a GTP (Go Text Protocol) interface added. It can be used as a weak but fast opponent for beginners and is of historical interest as one of the first open-source Go programs.

Winboard 4.5 32-bit is a free Windows accessible Chess program that works automatically with the JAWS or the free NVDA screen reader. It is for the blind, low sighted or those who can not use a mouse. It provides vocal announcements of position changes and other selectable board conditions. Blind players also use a separate "tactile chess board". Winboard 4.5 has full keyboard access to move pieces and run menu items. Partial sighted players use high contrast mode and adjust board, piece, most font sizes and colors. Available languages are English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Russian. chessoclock is a simple chess clock running on a virtual terminal. It supports an user defined time amount and increment per move as well as extra time and all the features of a Fischer clock. chessoclock is no longer based on the curses library. Install it on your (even old old old) laptop and you can have a chess clock everywhere in every moment. Under Linux only it can run in a xterm, but you get best visual effect when running in a virtual terminal or on the console and not under X. Merging chessoclock and a Minix 2.0.4 root disk gives us chessoflop. Use chessoflop to turn your twenty years old 80286 into a chess clock without installing anything. Reverse the image on a floppy, put that disk on your old computer, turn it on and that’s all! chessoflop image is available in the download page (it's the one all capitalized).

The linotte is a mix of a dice game and of a board game. Two players play through the network or one against the computer. It is written in C , uses xml quite a lot and GTK2 for the GUI. Currently only runs on linux.

A simple application for displaying time-remaining for an event, such as for cooking, chess playing, debate speech timing, or governing floor-time at a public speaking event, such as paper presentations. The numbers appear large enough to be seen at a distance, or the display can be shrunk into the corner of a presentation screen. The time-remaining display changes color, as a warning, near end of the duration. Display also shows elapsed time, and has a pause/resume button. The application is a simple stand-alone executable that can be placed on any machine, and does not require internet connection to use it. Can be used to count-down time for events lasting less than one minute, hours, days, or up to a year.
