    DarkLight Cover/Calibrator

    DarkLight Cover/Calibrator

DIY project to build a cover, flat panel or combo flip-flat panel

The DarkLight Cover/Calibrator (DLC) is a DIY project to build a motorized telescope cover, flat panel, or a combination flip-flat system. Its modular design supports various setups: a 12V light panel without a servo for a wall-mounted calibration panel, a servo-only cover for sky flats, or both integrated into a flip-flat mechanism. The DLC also includes optional dew heating to reduce extra equipment and cabling. With available drivers, it works with ASCOM or INDI. We’re excited to announce that the DarkLight Cover Calibrator project has officially moved to GitHub! 🔗 New GitHub Repository: 👉 https://github.com/10thTeeAstronomy/DarkLight_CoverCalibrator © Nathan Woelfle 2025. Request TLE

    Request TLE

Request TLE for given satellites and save it to the file

This simple console application requests two-line element sets (TLE) for given space satellites and saves it to the file. You can manage satellites by configuration file. First line of the config file is the API base address. You shouldn't change it usually. Second line of the file is the default API key. It's strongly recommended register on the website "n2yo(dot)com/api/" and get your own key due to limitations of amount requests. To personalize list of the satellites, add your desired satellite IDs at line 3 and further. As an example, there are three satellite IDs added by default.

    OpticalLibTPSA

    Optical library using TPSA

This is a library for optical calculations built upon truncated power series algebra implemented in VB.net. It represents optical systems as maps from a starting surface to an ending surface. The surfaces are themselves specified as truncated power series. The maps include path lengths; the library calculates interference as path length differences, and shearing is handled correctly through mixed-form maps. The library includes a rudimentary front end for interpreting a simple language for optical-system specification, a dll, and an optical glass library of commercial glasses.

    Starship Starflight Simulator

    Starship Starflight Simulator

A 3D Shareware Starflight Simulator by Deneban Software

Developed between 1992 and 1999, this is a very early simulation of how the stars of our solar neighborhood may look from different perspectives in the Milky Way. The user may position the starship at one of hundreds of objects in the database or enter the position using galactic coordinates. Navigate by destination or course using one of a multiple of "warp speed" selections available. Viewers: Select from Forward view or Tactical view. Flight and arrival times are given for various speeds when a destination is selected. Status bar shows stardate, course, speed, and galactic coordinates in real time. Able to play background starship sounds or music mod files enduring the long journey! Currently only available on the Amiga platform, but is actively being ported to Windows at this time. Screenshots show both Amiga and Windows versions. Windows porting progress is 75% complete (not including documentation). Amiga version features "Notebook Viewer

    rx2fits

HF/VHF spectrosopy code for the rx888mk2 direct-sampling receiver

rx2fits is an SDR code for the rx888mk2 direct-sampling receiver that streams spectral data with frequency up to 65 MHz to FITS files. This code is for the direct-sampling input of the receiver, which transmits real samples over USB3 at up to 130 MHz sample rate. rx2fits processes these samples to spectral intensities via a Fourier-transform poly-phase filter bank, which provides spectral resolution approaching the spectral bin width with good stop-band and adjacent-channel rejection. Sample rate, Fourier bin count, PFB frame count, integration time and receiver gain parameters can be set. Utilities for device enumeration, firmware upload, display of FITS header, file viewing, and for measuring sample rate and sample statistics are provided. The device interface is Ruslan Migirow's librx888 and dropped samples at 130 MHz are negligible. Runs on linux computers under .Net.
