FlowViewer is a web-based netflow data analysis tool.
FlowViewer provides a convenient web-based user interface to Mark Fullmer’s flow-tools suite and CMU's netflow data capture/analyzer, SiLK. The inclusion of the underlying SiLK tool set enables FlowViewer users to continue to use the tool with the newer IPFIX netflow data protocol, which includes support for IPv6 and Cisco's v9 and FNF netflow. FlowViewer has been developed for NASA’s Earth Sciences Data and Information System (ESDIS) networks, and credit goes to NASA for their usual outstanding support of innovation. The FlowViewer tools provide additional graphing and tracking features by utilizing open source software including Thomas Boutrell’s gd, Lincoln Stein's GD, Martien Verbruggen's GD::Graph, and Tobias Oetiker’s RRDtool. FlowViewer v4.6 fixes non-UTC local time environments for FlowViewer and FlowGrapher, and $no_devices_or_exporters FlowMonitor_Collector problem. **Note: SiLK must be v3.8.0 or later. PHP Server Monitor
Open source tool to monitor your servers and websites
PHP Server Monitor is a script that checks whether your websites and servers are up and running. It comes with a web based user interface where you can manage your services and websites, and you can manage users for each server with a mobile number and email address. For services a connection will be made to the entered ip or domain, on the given port. This way you can check if certain services on your machine are still running. To check your IMAP service for example, enter port 143. For websites you can enter a link and it will check the HTTP status code. If the HTTP status code is in the 4xx range or a timeout, it means an error occurred and the tool will start sending out notifications. You can also set a regular expression to match for content on the page itself. Each server has its own settings regarding notification. As on-the-ground microservice practitioners are quickly realizing, the majority of operational problems that arise when moving to a distributed architecture are ultimately grounded in two areas: networking and observability. It is simply an orders of magnitude larger problem to network and debug a set of intertwined distributed services versus a single monolithic application. Jaeger, inspired by Dapper and OpenZipkin, is a distributed tracing system released as open source by Uber Technologies. It is used for monitoring and troubleshooting microservices-based distributed systems. OpenTracing compatible data model and instrumentation libraries include Go, Java, Node, Python, C++ and C#. Jaeger uses consistent upfront sampling with individual per service/endpoint probabilities and it has multiple storage backends: Cassandra, Elasticsearch, memory. -

Monitorix is a free, open source, lightweight system monitoring tool designed to monitor as many services and system resources as possible. It has been created to be used under production Linux/UNIX servers, but due to its simplicity and small size can be used on embedded devices as well. It consists mainly of two programs: a collector, called monitorix, which is a Perl daemon that is started automatically like any other system service, and a CGI script called monitorix.cgi. Monitorix includes its own HTTP server built in (which is listening by default on port 8080/TCP) to see the statistics graphs, so you aren't forced to install a third-party web server to use it.
