Ricco is a passionate house music enthusiast with a focus on funky, deep, and rhythm-rich sounds that blend Latin, Tech and Afro influences. With almost 3 decades of djing under his belt, Ricco has held a handful of residencies in Vancouver, including Goodhousekeeping at Fortune Sound Club, La Discotech at Modern, Fast Life at Republic and Lotus Sound Lounge. Major Festival appearances include Basscoast Festival, Shambhala Music Festival and Valhalla Music Festival. Additionally, ricco has also played at some of Vancouver’s most notable music venues such as Beaumont Studios, Gorg-O-Mish, Open Studios, and the internationally acclaimed Commodore Ballroom. Direct support includes a laundry list of international acts such as Gene Farris, Claptone, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Sebastien Leger, Sandy Rivera, Justin Jay, Dennis Ferrer, Zombie Disco Squad, Metro Area, Cut Chemist, Ardalan, Dam Swindle, J.Phlip, The Greenskeepers, Pillow Talk, Johnny Fiasco, Fashmob, DJ ILLO, The Funk Hunters, Jesse Bru, DJ Heather, Tony Quattro, DJ Spider and Lawnchair Generals. Recently, Ricco has dipped his toes into producing, having produced, remixed and collaborated on over a dozen releases since his production journey began 2020. As comfortable behind the decks as he is behind the scenes, Ricco is actively involved in the music scene through event curation under the JK Gaultier brand, hosting Goodhousekeeping Radio on Bside Radio, a monthly residency (Cue Club at the Fox Cabaret), the JKG Mix Series, stage curating for Valhalla Music Festival and a committee member for the Junos Awards Underground Dance Single of the Year. The joy of seeing people from all walks of life on his dance floors is what keeps Ricco motivated; making someone’s day better through music, song and dance.
