Lines of Flight
Leeds
Lines of Flight are an electropop band from Leeds. Originally a 2-piece formed during lockdown and writing and recording on iPhones in separate houses, we have now expanded to a 5-piece band, bringing live bass, drums and keyboards into our writing, recordings and live shows. Celilo Falls // Crush (Double A-side) is the first release since we welcomed our new members. While maintaining our electro roots and reflective lyrics, our sound has evolved to bring a raw new wave energy, with postpunk basslines and pulsing rhythms adding fresh urgency and depth.

@thebiggreyman: Yeah, a la Nick drake perhaps? The whole concept of this album feels more fragile and vulnerable so it seem to make sense to mirror that in the music. Thank you for listening and the feedback. I think there is a primal sophistication to MHTH.

@thebiggreyman: thank you BGM. You have mentioned the evolution in the sound before. It certainly was certainly a conscious decision. I am trying to find a balance between minimal sounds and layers of depth. I love the idea of a record's atmosphere being produced by as few instruments as possible (Faith by The Cure) but then contrasting that with the emotions of complex layers of pads (Isles by Bicep, for example) and then the tension it cause and creates. We think this is an interesting place to position the lyrical subject matter.
