The infamous Disco Donnie's legendary events introduced him to the euphoric energy and transformative power of electronic music. Those nights under pulsating lights and thundering basslines lit a fire in Jourdan’s soul, sparking a lifelong passion that would define his journey. The Journey Begins At the age of 21, in 2003, Jourdan set off on an extraordinary adventure, moving from his roots in the United States to the United Kingdom. His journey as a DJ began in earnest with residencies in Bristol and Swansea, Wales, where he immersed himself in the vibrant European electronic music scene. After honing his craft overseas, Jourdan returned to the United States. However, his homecoming coincided with Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans and left Jourdan a refugee. This life-altering event brought him to Los Angeles, where fortune smiled upon him. He landed a job with his idol, the legendary Paul Oakenfold—a pivotal moment that ignited his career in the global music industry. Touring with Samantha James: A Global Success From 2007 to 2009, Jourdan toured with Samantha James for her hit album Rise, a journey that took them to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Manila, Taipei, Thailand, Australia, Bulgaria, and Mexico. The duo performed everywhere from the iconic Burning Man festival to beach festivals in Mexico, captivating audiences worldwide. Their collaboration was a global sensation, marking a peak in Jourdan's career. New Adventures and Residencies After the Rise tour ended in 2009, Jourdan moved to Austin, Texas, where he worked with Famosa Productions, holding various residencies from 2009 to 2011. Seeking new horizons, he relocated to Australia, where his talent earned him gigs at the legendary Home Nightclub in Sydney. In Sydney, Jourdan secured residencies at Cargo Bar and other prominent venues, making a name for himself in Australia’s thriving electronic music scene. It was during this time that Jourdan was invited to perform on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. The Koh Phangan Era: A Decade at Jungle Experience Jourdan’s first gig in Koh Phangan blossomed into a 10-year residency at the renowned Jungle Experience Festival. During his time on the island, Jourdan formed a lasting friendship and collaboration with dance music legend Graham Gold. The duo worked together both in the studio and behind the decks, creating unforgettable music and sharing residencies at various venues over the years. The Rise of a Producer In 2012, Jourdan’s remix collaboration with Darren Epsilon caught the attention of Beatport, earning him recognition as one of the hottest up-and-coming producers. Over the years, his original productions have graced esteemed labels like Perfecto, Toolroom, Holystone Proton, Phonetic, Particles, Dynamica, and Black Hole Recordings. Supported by industry titans such as Graham Gold, Orbital, Armin van Buuren, Faithless, Roger Sanchez, Joris Voorn, and Carl Cox, Jourdan’s tracks have made waves globally, charting over 20 times on Beatport’s Top 100 and earning airplay on major radio stations. Ambassador for Music and Healing As an ambassador for the David Lynch Music Foundation, Jourdan joins an elite roster that includes Moby, Maroon 5, and Iggy Pop.
