I’m Jon Brett! My name is ultra fun to say as if it is hyphenated or all one word. Jon-Brett. Jonbrett. See?!?! Aside from that, I am a musician from Essex, On with a family that is as delightfully insane as I am. I am a cunning linguist (ahem…) and have spent many years crafting my style as a musician. For as long as I remember, I wanted to entertain people, and the best way my young mind could envision myself doing this was through music. I went to school, got a music degree, and was ready to be a real musician! However, life happens and after many, many, MANY false starts and artistic reinventions, I stand before you now as a man with a ridiculous project that I am more than proud and super excited to unleash upon the unsuspecting world. “What does it sound like?” Well… at times it’s like the lighter side of Tenacious D, I guess. Maybe even some of Adam Sandler’s older stuff, just with a lot less swearing. “But the swears are what make it funny!” Oh, really? Um… well… Anyway, there is a bit of pop-punk in there to keep things upbeat, and some good old fashioned fingerstyle ballads just to keep it lame enough for girls to maybe like some of it. The rest is made up of lyrical content that 15 year old me would think is funny, which is pretty much the same stuff that mid-30s me thinks is funny. Go figure.
