Flint Eastwood is a 5 piece indie rock band with rapper Malik Flint as their frontman. In 2009 Marcus Meier formed the ambient rock band, Inner City Lights, with drummer Philip Cottingham. After falling through with label Rise Records, Inner City Lights later broke up in mid 2011 but Meier and Cottingham stayed in touch musically, playing in various side-projects. While substituting at his old high school, Meier met 18 year old student, Malik Flint, future frontman of Flint Eastwood. Flint was in need of a guitarist and drummer for an upcoming hip hop gig with his rap group, Weekend Warriors. Meier informed former drummer, Philip Cottingham of the gig and after playing a few shows with Flint, they decided to form their own rock/hip hop group together. In need of a bassist, Meier contacted his cousin Tyler Inmon. After accepting the offer, the band then thought a keyboardist would add more hipe hop to the rock group. Inmon though former band mate Jon-Michael Harper would be a perfect fit. Members of Flint Eastwood vary in age from 20 to 26. All members coming from different musical backgrounds, Flint Eastwood creates a sound that is fresh and yet familiar to all crowds.
