Born on January 21, 1984, in Brandenburg an der Havel (Germany), Florian Linckus discovered his passion for film and storytelling at an early age. This love soon extended to music, where he found a profound connection between sound and narrative. By the late 1990s, he began creating his own works, focusing on music for film. In the early 2000s, Florian composed for several short films and refined his craft through formal training in composition at the Deutsche Pop Music Academy, graduating in 2009. Since 2007, he has collaborated closely with VFX artist Thomas Zeug, composing music for the beloved animated series 2 Aliens: Quiqueck & Hämat since 2012. Florian’s career took on an international dimension in 2014 when he began assisting renowned Chinese composer Raymond Wong. His contributions span film and television, including notable projects like Ice Man, Horror Online, The Monkey King, The Treasure, and Lingji, along with several acclaimed Asian TV series. Florian Linckus is a master of versatility, navigating effortlessly across genres to find the perfect tone for every project. His rich and diverse musical palette ranges from classical orchestral arrangements to bold, sound design-driven contemporary works. Whether crafting epic cinematic scores or intimate musical landscapes, Florian continues to push the boundaries of musical storytelling.
