Blu-dog is a music project created by Leandro Pessoa, a Brazilian bluesman. Multi-instrumentalist and part of the Brazilian blues and rock scene, he has created Zirigblues with some fellows, sharing the stage with musicians as Auder Júnior (AuderGang), harmonica player Osmar Souza (currently AuderGang member), Ernesto (Jazz In Natura), Alexandre Araújo and Pepeu Gomes. Due to professional commitments, he is away from the stages for a while, but the passion for the music and the blues remains the same. After living two months in Chicago, he composed and recorded the electric blues disc named “Jammin’ at the Cuckoo´s House”, using the codename blu-dog, his one-man-band, singing and playing guitars, bass, keyboards, harmonica and percussion. Recently, blu-dog launched his new disc, this time inspired in the seventies rock and roll, named “Late Night Call”. The disc contains tracks with distorted guitars, melodic songs and improvised blues guitar solos, all played by the one-man-band leader. The Brazilian indie rock band Os Amantes Invisiveis has joined blu-dog in the mixes and in “You Gotta Take The Road” song.
