I was instantly obsessed, and since then I have always had a passion for edm. During my senior year of high school (2017-2018) Illenium's album "Awake" was released, and it completely changed my perspective of what electronic music could be. The vocals, production, and emotion of those tracks were unlike anything I had ever heard. That album got me through some very hard times, and I wanted to do the same for someone else through music. Towards the end of senior year I downloaded Ableton (a popular program for music production). I was incredibly overwhelmed. I had no prior musical knowledge or experience, and Ableton is extremely difficult to jump into. I learned quickly that it takes a tremendous amount of knowledge, creativity, and hard work to produce music. This was a discouraging revelation. Every few months I would sit down, produce a terrible track, close my laptop and move on thinking "this just isn't for me". Then around December of freshman year of college, a switch flipped in my mind. I decided that I was not going to stop until I learned music production. That was about six years ago, and I'm still working hard to produce music with emotion, something people can connect with. I truly believe that no heart makes dreams work and time can't match.
