Cassava, a delicious starchy root with a nutty flavor is a staple in West African, Latin American, and Caribbean cuisines. It’s also known as YUCA. It’s rich in vitamin C, gut healthy fiber, vitamin A, and antioxidants. The method of cooking bammies differs from community to community in Jamaica. Sharing this Style below: 

* 1 1/2 pound cassava, peeled and grated
 • * 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
 • * 1/2 cup coconut milk, for soaking
 • * Coconut oil, for frying
 • .
 • Peel and Grate Cassava 
 • Place grated cassava into a cheesecloth or nut milk bag (link on my amazon storefront) and squeeze out the white liquid
 • Place grated & squeezed cassava in a bowl, add salt and mix well.
