A muscled cuirass from the tomb of the Warrior from Lanuvium (c. 475 BCE). Made from bronze, it shows signs of having been paired with both linen and leather. Thought to have been manufactured in Magna Graecia between 490 and 480BCE, it would have still been relatively new when it was entombed with its owner.

Chalcidian-Corinthian helmet. Olympia, Greece, Archaeological Museum. Inv. no. B 7946. Found from fountain 2 in the Nordwand Stadium, Quadr. D 2, February 1959. 6th-5th century BCE. Fragmented. In the discovery almost complete, but compressed; the bronze was often so completely decomposed that it could not be preserved; the resulting gaps are now filled with wax; the sharp ridge of the dome portion is no longer recognizable. The eyebrows and rim of the helmet are made of silver.

The Spartans From the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, comes this helmet dated to the 6th century bce. Identified as a Chalcidean helmet, it has several stylized features, such as the curls at the brow and rear, 'locks' of hair on the sides, and ears. From "The Spartans" Facebook page.
