Impossible to define by any conventional definitions of techno ILLIT takes and mutates his musical influences into something that at times is a flow of joyous electronic sounds and then in an instant turns into an avalanche of hard hitting techno beats.
For this vinyl drop we wanted to pay homage to the DIY vinyl cutting culture of Japan in the
1970s & 1980s and this 12" was cut in realtime direct to vinyl using a portable hand cutting
lathe.
The Brutalist inspired artwork was done in collaboration with Paul Nicholson, creator of the Aphex Twin logo, and infamous for being the on-stage dancer at Aphex Twin gigs throughout the 1990s.
