So in my ever growing irl side quest to platinum every AC Game I’ve made my way to AC Valhalla. Now the trophies are easy but time consuming but there is one I’m slightly unsure about, it’s called home sweet home you get it for reaching settlement level 6, the highest settlement level in the game. Now to upgrade your settlement you need supplies and you get supplies from raids but I’ve done every raid and I’m still a few upgrades away from level 6. I know you can get supplies from little chests in settlements and in monastery’s but does anyone have specific known locations where these loot chests with supplies in them are?In short does anyone know the location of these loot chests with 100 supplies, it would help a lot on my journey, thx.
As the title suggests, I’m curious as to what the largest land mass in Black Flag is. I always figured it’s Havana, but I’m not 100% sure.
I’m only partially through the main story of the game so this might possibly be explained away, but how can Shay use Eagle Vision if he isn’t part of the Isu bloodline? Does this mean that he’s technically Edwards distant cousin?
Seeing as Quebec is the developer of Codename Red, there are things I'd like to change and improve after their work on Odyssey. I would love to hear some opinions and have a discussion on this.Dialogue Choices: Dialogue choices serve to change the story based on player decision. No game has 100% of its choices matter, just enough of them that the player doesn't know which is which. Quebec's choices are meaningless, since most of them don't matter, and the only few that do are regarding the ending, so the story barely changes, which defeats the purpose of a choice-based RPG. So either they remove the choices for Red, or they make them actually matter by having the story take other paths at some point in the game. Not every choice should matter, just enough of them that we can feel the impact.Combat: Playing Syndicate and Odyssey, you can surely see that the type of combat that Quebec does is usually fast-paced, and enemies require multiple hits to kill. Anyone can notice that this won't work for Red. Ninjas and samurai are meant to be deadly and kill in as few hits as possible. Weapons are meant to feel powerful and not like a toothpick that takes 50 hits to kill an enemy. My solution here would be to have the armor defend the HP of the enemies more and more as the game progresses, so enemies would essentially have 2 health bars, with one being the armor. Players would have an easier time taking the armor out when in relative level to the enemy. The armor would represent the bulk of the HP, while the actual HP would be pretty low. I don't know if this is Japan-accurate; I just thought of it while playing The Division 2. Another solution would be enemies parrying your hits a lot more depending on the level gap, with the challenge being actually landing a hit.Map: Now, my biggest problem with Odyssey, Valhalla, and Origins to a lesser extent is the map size. Trying to put a whole country (or multiple) in a game will always be a bad idea to me. The map ends up being so big that the actual content is very poor. This hits Odyssey and Valhalla very hard, with the billion caves, bandit camps, and etc. But the biggest offender is the side quests. There are so many bad quests that the gems buried within AC Odyssey never get to shine as much as they should, since for every good one, there are 2 or more bad ones. The first thing here is to make the map smaller, the content denser, and the side quests with less quantity and more quality. Make the map the same size as Origins or smaller. Remove the ? points and let the player find things on their own (Elden Ring-style). Make each piece of loot matter, less loot, but each one you find needs to be important (not like Valhalla or Origins and Odyssey). And for the side quests, AC Odyssey shows in its Underworld DLC that it can have good side quests. Make side quests with characters we meet in the main story (not every side quest), each one being a string of quests like the Brasidas one in the DLC.Equipment: We don't need the same system as Odyssey. I believe that too much bloat would not be good on this one. We need a big enough set of armors and weapons that are also upgradeable and have stats that make a big difference (unlike Valhalla) for each one. You can have random stats on lower-grade equipment, but let us change every stat on them, so as not to make it grindy to get the one you want. Reward exploration by having the stats used to customize them as rewards for caves and the like.Abilities: The abilities in Odyssey and Valhalla are too overpowered, to the point that battles are completely dependent on abilities rather than player skill. The abilities should not be as godlike as in Odyssey. They should be actual moves and techniques with longer cooldowns that impact the battle, but not to the extent that the player solely relies on them. Additionally, there should be more gore and dismemberment, especially with the abilities.Story:Storytelling is a problem for Quebec. It is challenging to imagine a lighthearted story that pushes for humor and fun in a Shinobi/Samurai AC game. Odyssey isn't always like that, but it can often feel that way. Another issue is the grind that appears from time to time, forcing players to complete side content before being able to play the main story. The main story should be focused and serious, highlighting the Assassins and the Templars while incorporating Japanese culture. Mythology will likely make an appearance, whether we like it or not. Quebec should make it possible for players to complete the main story without having to engage in side content, but it should be more challenging and dependent on skill rather than the enemy being 5 levels above the player. This approach involves the combat system, which was mentioned earlier. These are not my full opinions, just some things i thought of today, i would love to hear what you guys think about my suggestions. Altough i don't think many people will see this. Also, i used an ai(you know the one) to correct any english mistakes, as to not have to go over the whole text again.
So I've been wandering what would be a good time in history to bring back navel combat from AC4 and rough. Can't find an interesting time my self soooo I want to know what you guys would think of. Help me please my head will explode if I keep thinking about it.
I have about 1/3 of the map explored but I can’t find any more quest giver markers. I’m doing something wrong obviously. There is no possibility that I’ve completed them all. I thought if I expanded the map and went into new cities, I can do some there. Went into Athens for the first time and there’s no markers.
Anyone else? I’m actually surprised it’s only been barely 2.5 years about. I just looked up the release year and somehow thought it was 4-5 years ago. There’s a few game series I just love so much I wish they could put one out every couple years! Assassins creed is pretty good at putting them out at a good pace. Other game series take way way way too long. Can you say GTA? Going to be like 30 years between titles. My favs are long games that are open world adventure. Borderlands. Fallout. Red dead redemption. Far cry. Best game on the horizon is Starfield which could be the best game since Fallout 4. I sure hope it is. So no word of a new assassins? Probably not yet.
Yo after playing Unity i hop on to AC origins so far the graphics is stunning and its pretty smooth on my device im surprised actually. Tho im only at the beginning part of the game i have couple of problems. The Audio seems messed the dialogue are great but something feels wrong like the distance of how i should be hearing the characters felts always the same (i hope i explain that clearly) like no matter how far i am to the npc they speak like beside my ear. Do anyone encounters that? The audio effects as well seems off like if i stabbed someone in Unity i hear the stab sound here in Origins its feels muted when i assassinate. No punch sound or anything. The Bow is cool but some enemies cant be 1 shot even tho its headshot? So far its cool but the audio in battle is turning me off maybe theres a fix or something? Like it literally feels like everything is beside my ear something like that. It feels off compared to the area sounds of other games.EDIT: The Audio got fixed after not running the game as administrator
