You were always a snoop, weren’t you? That’s why you bought an old computer you saw lying among piles of junk at a garage sale. You didn’t even bother to format the computer before you turned it on. You were curious. After all, a personal computer is an extension of another person’s soul, all their secrets, projects, interactions.
“last seen online” is a psychological horror escape room, based on early flash games. Look through someone's computer files. Solve puzzles and discover the secrets that lie within the computer.

had to sit and just listen to the ending song because the last part of this game was just so good, hits real hard. great job making this
i feel like a stupid idiot trying to solve the statue part
this game feels comforting in a way?? idk it punched me way too hard in the gut for smth i found randomly
u can tell this game was the product of much passion and love, and there's so many little details like how in the wallpapers, liz tries to cover up her face (esp her nose) or how on the insta profiles at the end u notice that em and lawson end up a married couple tgt despite them being liz's bsf and crush making the fact they moved on add even more salt to the wound. they js left bc once someone is gone... they're gone. and then lawson's profile also mentions john 3:16 which states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life," and that's so much more eerie considering liz believed in this cult and then now is stuck, immortalized as her teenage self FOREVER in the other world. there's more small details i was going to mention but forgot abt and then prob even more that i didn't even end up noticing but i'm proud i was able to notice those ones.
and js the feeling of wanting to escape, hating how u look and all those other insecurities, those little things of being a girl, having immigrant parents. and then the idea of how the past only occurs once. everything is so temporary. u can't go back and hold everything close again. we forget to cherish life in fear of that fact. to learn to live and let go is a skill to be proud of <3

1) for getting in to the computer it's her dog's name then the yr she was born (hint: she wasn't born in 2000, that was when the wallpaper photo was taken so her 8th bday)
2) if ur talking abt the zip files then in the chats she tells em to drag the music player over the box on the wallpaper so listen to the songs in that order and pay attention to the numbers in the lyrics, if ur still stuck spoiler below

anyone can help me at the "simulation fever dream" part?
u should go to the fountains, look at the symbol at the bottom and click on the buttons that make up that symbol (do this in order for all the symbols at the bottom), the way the liquid falls from the fountain it should make the shape of a letter (so each symbol represents a letter). then once u figured out the whole word go back to "a simulation a fever dream or both" and click on the same letters in order to form the word

I Never in my life felt so emotional bc of a Game, but the last Part was so fucking Personal. I can feel my eyes burning and the weird….squelching, tearing, stabbing and yet painfully empty feeling in my chest. I hate this but I can’t bring myself to not like it either.

this is sooo cool!! I wish there was an extended ver of the music in the lose.amp player. Other than that, this game is fantastic. 10/10 would play again.

I like this game, the OtherWorld portion reminded me of that online 90s game Worlds.Com especially with the whole cult-like implications and that Worlds had a 'cult' that was huge in the deep parts of the game.
I also saw the update about the removal of the AI art, and I'm proud of you for creating the artwork yourself, it looks lovely and honestly looks alot better than the art before (I found a video of my fav Youtuber playing this that's how I knew the changes)
personal projects like this can only feel fully personal when it's made by real people and not AI.
Rambling aside, this game was cool, the puzzles I admit were hard (but I am not a puzzle person lol) but I had fun with this, been playing these 90s-2000s computer mystery games tonight.
EDIT: Have you tried the art form of photobashing? It's good for making realistic and even uncanny art using stock photo pieces, like frankendolling with stock photos! I think it'd fit this game alot :)
