Gets worse at every update. The latest update wont allow me to add a new speaker unless I give the application access to my GPS and my location! This should not be required just to add a speaker! If I hadn't already got a load of Sonos speakers then I would certainly look elsewhere. You already have to log in and have an account with Sonos to be able to use the system and listen to music! It was a lot better in 'the old days' when you could just play music to the speakers. Now they want to know all of your data for who knows what reasons...

I wish I had never spent the money buying the speakers and bridge. They are now totally useless being made redundant by continued upgrades and then to find out that some speakers are deemed too old and need to work on sonos 1 controller whilst other speakers have to use the latest sonos controller making it 2 separate systems. Plus, my sonos 1 controller has now decided to simply say it cannot find the speakers and sends me round in circles. Totally fed up with sonos, Money down the drain!

I don't know what Sonos have done. But the connectivity on my Play 5 Gen 1 was always pretty poor given Sonos is one of the top brands. But they seem to have taken a poor system, remodelled it, and made it so poor that the wireless function just doesn't work and, even when Hard Wired, the Spotify connection is now unnecessarily over complicated and clunky. You get better functionality from cheap chinese stuff. Absolutely shocking.
