The materials are great and the site works very well. However, notes written while offline in the app never save, which is a deal breaker for me. For now I'll be purchasing my books and writing notes from my reader app. I'll probably check back in a year or so to see if it's fixed. If you're only studying at your computer, I'd give O'Reilly a full ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for quality of content and features.

Lots of content, but the app is at most average. Whenever you tap the app icon, even after you opened a book, it would switch back to the app's home screen. So you tap the book again and wait for a little while for it to load. All digitalized books completely lose their design, no beauty, no pleasure at looking at the content. Raw text without any visual quality to it. If you use the app on multiple devices, you'll quickly learn that after all that sluggishness, it still can't sync the page...

Good content but full of bugs. If you reach out to support about bugs then they are likely to respond and talk about something unrelated to the bug report. Maybe their ticketing system is also buggy. Right now the most annoying of the many bugs is that the download button doesnt work if you want to read something offline. I've also had issues with it losing my place constantly with both books and audio books. It also loses highlights and notes so I use a different app to keep track of that.

What’s new

We’ve added support for Picture in Picture (PiP). When you move the app to the background while a video is playing, it keeps playing in a small, movable window so you can continue learning even when using other apps.
