Look at it's permissions, very intrusive spyware. You have no control over this. You cannot disable it. For me, it constantly tries to connect to a carrier different from the one I have, takes over the phone and freezes it for 6 minutes, during this I can't even use my phone! I'm on day 2 now of it freezing my phone like this every few hours, for 6 minutes, all because I did a reboot. I go through this each time I do a reboot. Google needs to get it's act together.

So, I understand that many people are undergoing the same issue, but I would REALLY like a fix to this ongoing problem I've had since the last update. Whenever I open my messages app, I keep getting warnings that messages aren't going to work properly unless I update this app. Oddly, when I check there is no clear update available. It's aggravating because it sometimes prevents me from texting for certain periods of time, even when I have excellent Internet. Please resolve this irritating issue.

Clearly there is an issue with this release because those using it claim the beta version "fixes" the connectivity issues. I lost connection a couple times and errantly blamed it on a "no phone zone"...not the case! Imagine your life was on the line and you couldn't call for help because of this bug? With how much importance we place on our cell phones, you'd think this would be a high priority fix. PS - Don't bother emailing the address listed on here. They stopped monitoring it.
